Back to school is upon us all now. School supply lists are clogging up your home, your car, your purse, or wherever they are camping out.
It amazes me to see how much processed paper products are required for school. Thinking about the millions of kids needing school supplies each year and being asked to buy millions of sheets of paper. It's overwhelming.
Have you ever thought there should be a company that is dedicated to providing green school supplies? I don't just mean offering recycled paper (although that certainly is a step in the right direction). I mean a whole line of recycled paper products so that your child is stocked up with all of their school supplies and sporting all recycled material in the process.
Rebinder is available to help you.
Rebinder is out to make a difference in both their community (Seattle, WA) and the world. According to their website
ReBinder is the only true zero waste office supply manufacturer and the brand of choice for customers looking for sustainable, quality office supplies. Assembled by a local, AbilityOne certified disabled workforce, all ReBinder product materials are sourced from responsibly managed forests and verified FSC and SFI certified sources.
Now that is making a difference, people.
And if you haven't thought much about how 3-ring binders could be created to save the planet, just check out their side-by-side comparison of their original binders with typical vinyl binders that most of you have already purchased.
And in case you work somewhere that is trying to go green, you can customize these products for your business to show that you are taking an initiative to support green companies and products!
Our Experience?
I received a Green School Supply Kit to review and boy, was I overwhelmed! Just look at all of these great products!

This Green School Supply Kit is comprised of
(1) 1.5” Chipboard ReBinder recycled 3 ring binder
(2) ReBinder replacement covers
(6) RePouch recycled slash pocket dividers
(6) RePocket eco-friendly pocket folders
(2) ReWrite 8x10 recycled notebooks with lined paper
(2) ReWrite 8x10 recycled notebooks with graph paper
(2) ReWrite 5x8 Recycled notebooks with blank paper
(6) ReSleeve recycled CD sleeves
(3) RePlay recycled CD cases
All of these items as so very sturdy and feel very comparable to the "standard" products that I am accustomed to seeing in the stores.
And frankly, I can see my son wanting to be all over these in decorating them to make them his own rather than relying on pre-designed products full of cartoon characters.
Simply put, I love these products and this company. I love their initiative. I love their commitment to excellence and the environment. I love that they are setting out to change the norm. I love that I get to introduce them to you because I have a feeling that a lot of you will love them as well!

ReplyDeleteAll of Rebinder's products are SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certified - the approval/label is a sign that you are buying wood and paper products from a responsible source, backed by rigorous, third-party certification and audit - similar to that of an ISO (International Standards of Operations) certification, which from personal experience and involvement is not easily obtained or issued.
