My family are some gaming people. Let me take that back. Three of the four of us love gaming. It's kinda' hard to tell in a 2 year old, but due to her genetics and the fact that we will force it on her (yeah...not really), she will most likely be a game lover as well. In a world slammed full of technology that is being thrown in your face, games are a fantastic way to spend time as a family or with friends.
Spot It! by Blue Orange Games is a great new addition to our game closet. Here is a description from Blue Orange:
Spot it! is truly amazing! There is always one and only one matching symbol between any two cards. Spot it and you win. With 5 different ways to play and brilliant game mechanics, this game has fans everywhere hooked and has won 12 best toy awards. Half a million of Spot it! have been sold through specialty toy stores alone in just 18 months!
It is rated for 2-8 players, aged 7 and older. Our 6 year old had no problem with it though. In fact, our two year old grasped even the simplest rules of the game, so you could probably water it down to include even the younger family members.
We had a lot of fun playing this game as a family. It led to a lot of smiles and laughs. It is a game we can share with one another and our son can share with his friends as well. It was a wonderful use of an evening and definitely a game that we will pull back out again and again.
